Thanks - I'm not sure if I understand your overload wrapping method. XML_FastCreate_Text extends XML_FastCreate_Text_PHP4 It does seem a bit confusing. have a look at http://cvs.php.net/co.php/pear/DB_DataObject/DataObject.php?r=1.256 it avoids evals - by defining the classes at the top, (DB_DataObject_overload) and does conditionaly loading of overload at the bottom.. I'd also put a big warning on the package similar to the one Dataobjects has: = Zend Optimizer bugs will cause PHP to segfault with the package. = Pass/Return by reference Does not work at all in PHP4.* on overloaded classes.
