I removed that (if I'm thinking of the same thing), plus I added a getOutput()
function just to get back the raw buffer.

Yes at the moment it is fairly similar. Standardised the naming of the functions
etc. But as I mentioned in the comments, I'd like to move away from the
one-class design to something more efficient and flexible.
