Au contraire.
Relative font sizes are better in most cases. The whole point of HTML is
to allow the end user to render the document in a way that's easiest for
them to read. So, persons with vision disabilities (and those who just
don't feel like straining their eyes to read a computer monitor all day
long) will set the browser to use large fonts. But that gets shot to hell
by persons who over-design pages by hard coding font sizes.
The rendering of fonts set by "px" (which represents pixels) depends on
the monitor's resolution. The higher the resolution, the smaller the font
appears. This is very often the reason MANY MANY web pages have
microscopic type on them.
