Heh, you got me wrong. I don't mind bogus requests, but rather people reacting on them without need. But that's a different story. What I wantend to bring up here is, that we provide a false sense of privacy. When a requester doesn't check the "show email address" box, he has the right to assume, that we keep his email address secret. However, with the requests landing on a public mailinglist, the email address is shown in plain text, with the note that it should be hidden (D'OH!). I think, this has been brought up already but it isn't fixed, yet. That's why I ask how to handle this in PEAR, assuming there are other places in pearweb where it is supposed to hide email addresses.
