Schema: Marcus brought up the problem, that on a large database, the current big ini structure is problematic (eg. slow). - The solution to this is to add a schema definition to the bottom of each class file. eg. $GLOBALS['_DB_DATAOBJECT']['projectname']['table'] = array( 'id' => DB_DATAOBJECT_INT, 'name' => DB_DATAOBJECT_STR & DB_DATAOBJECT_NOTNULL, ... );Hey, that looks familiar (DB_Table anyone? ;-). Perhaps there is some way to merge the aspects of DB_DataObject, MDB2, and DB_Table for when MDB takes over as the new DB ... or perhaps refactor all three of them as extensions or supporting classes for DB_v2. It would be nice to see a way for MDB2 XML, the DB_Table "embedded schema" and auto-creation of tables/forms, and the tying-together-ness of DB_DataObject in a "buffet" of classes for DB_v2. Might not be possible due to philosophical conflicts between the current packages, but maybe this represents an opportunity to really bring them all together under new cover. Just a thought. :-) -- Paul M.
