I have finished the brunt of the re-coding on Text_Wiki. It was not as horrible as I thought it might be, and while it is a slower than the prior version, it is not terribly slower; I think the added flexibility will be worth it. In the following, a negative difference means the new version is faster, positive means the new version is slower.
100 looped transformations of SamplePage
new: 42.0973, 43.7315, 42.9450
old: 42.3905, 42.4803, 41.8688
dif: -0.293, +1.251, +1.077
avg: +0.678 seconds per 100 transformations
One transformation of SamplePage (file loading time weighs more heavily here)
new: 0.670, 0.647, 0.579, 0.778, 0.636
old: 0.647, 0.519, 0.596, 0.511, 0.511
dif: +.03, +.13, -.02, +.26, +.12
avg: +.09 seconds per transformation

I will post changeover notes later this weekend, and update the online documentation after it appears this version is ready for release. Those of you who want an early look at the new Text_Wiki can download a tarball here:
