I suspect that could be a nightmare for other apps.. - It sounds like something that should be a parse option?.. (not the default)
I use tree for extracting data from xml files. - the spaces are rarely usefull. - and may cause the hooks I have to fail.

Hi,-- Can you help out? Need Consulting Services or Know of a Job? http://www.akbkhome.comCan you please grab the latest CVS, and check again.Still the same problem. XML_Tree 2.0b2 ignored whitespace between two tags, XML_Tree 2.0RC2 creates new nodes for them. This breaks XML_DTD. It's no problem for XML_DTD as it's still alpha and I could fix it this weekend, but it may be a problem for other applications... Stephan
