Since the vote was called while I was writing my profile, here goes:
For starters, my pear account is thesaur. I am studying linguistics, and therefore am especially interested in text-processing.
A native speaker of (American) English, I study at the University of Freiburg, Germany, which means that I am in Europe, like many other candidates. However, I am very mobile, and it is not unlikely that I will be relocating to the US or Eastern Europe after completing my studies this winter.
I've been with PEAR since 2002, maintaining HTML_CSS and HTML_Page, as well as working on other HTML_* packages and Numbers_Roman. As can be seen, I'm very intent on keeping PEAR standards compliant. I actively use PEAR packages in my applications, which are not limited to web applications. I develop using PHP both professionally and academically.
I actively read all public PEAR email lists, with the exception of pear-webmaster. I read my mail often during the day. When I'm connected (which usually is approx 10 hours a day), my mailbox is polled every minute. I usually respond to emails within a couple hours (often within minutes).
Like Lukas, I've been on the QA list since the beginning, and feel very strongly about the quality of PEAR, which is why I worked on the QA RFC with Helgi. Something that is very important if quality is supposed to be apparent is that there is a native speaker on the team who can help insure that the professional tone is maintained. I would be very happy to fill this need.
One thing that has come up time and time again in PEAR is favoritism. I am strongly against this. Rules must be enforced fairly, and should not be used to target developers unfairly. Also, developers should be confident that if I'm on the QA team, I will do my utmost to ensure that all are treated with respect.
