Will classes like PEAR (destructors emulation, error handling), PHP_Error still be relevant with PHP5? IMHO, PHP5 does resolve this problems very well with its new OO model. Whats is being thought about it? We should really encourage developer to use PHP5 in their packages... :-) --lucasr Martin Jansen wrote:

There some problems on PEAR tool for managing packages when PHP5 is used. Mainly on the tests that it makes when packaging (pear package) something. I saw that when i use interfaces in my PEAR package code, the code analysis fails (some warnings) because it still doesnt recognize interfaces.
Can you please open a bug report for this at http://pear.php.net/bugs/?
Is there any effort to build a PEAR that works ok with php5?
Right now we are trying to make sure that the packages work with PHP 4 and PHP 5, but there are no plans beyond that.
