A lot can be said to add the UUEncode/decode functions to the Mail_MIME,
since its usage seems to compliment it.
However, UUEncoding is almost always used in Text-only emails, as it
provides a way to encode attachments
inline, as it is.
The big difference with Mail_MIME is that MIME is used to seperate a mail
into different pieces, Text/html, text/plain, and attachments encoded with
different types of encodings.
UUEncoding can also be done on simple files to store them as ASCII-only
files....
Still, all in all, I think that Mail_MIME would be the best place to place
these functions as they are now.
