PEAR_ErrorStack needs a bit of work to make it the best option for error reporting, perhaps a wrapper could be designed that would allow easy extension of a fake PEAR class that supports the error handling methods. In any case, anything of this nature would be a hack and so deprecation ends up being the only option. If you need a destructor, go PHP5, in my opinion. Greg
