Let me be the sour puss and say that this could be misconstrued as 'framework' stuff.
That being said, I could care less, I think PEAR not having framework things (i.e. MVC) is a real disappointment (sorry for the dig, I digress).
I wholeheartedly agree that interfaces like this should be a part of PEAR.
