Manage Web Form Data with a MySQL database

Can anyone tell me how I insert multiple values into a MySQL database based on the same web form text box name? That is, the form lists several players from a golf tournament. Instead of updating each person individually I would like to make my all of my changes for multiple player and then select an Update button to save all of the changes. For example: Player, Score, Handicap, Flight and Place are columns values for each person which have the same web form text name. How can I collect all of the information and then update the database. thanks Alan
