There are a few things which aren't covered by PEAR's CS. I'd like to get the concensus of the PEAR dev community on these things. * String concatenation. 1) "foo" . "bar" 2) "foo"."bar" 3) other (please describe)spaces should always be between arguments, it makes control-arrow work in most editors, even non-php aware ones.
* Assigning by reference. 1) $foo = &$bar; 2) $foo =& $bar; 3) other (please describe)I would prefer NOT to tie this down to stone. I use #1 because the reference refers to $bar, not the = sign, but others prefer #2 because the thing looks kind of like += and groups operators. However, neither is unreadable. I would only request that each package be consistent (but even this is unimportant). Remember, CS of syntax is supposed to make people's lives easier. Greg
