Hi,
I've noticed that PEAR-SOAP will say it sends UTF-8, but there is
actually no character conversions going on. It's just setting the
Content-Type and setting it in the XML tag definition, but otherwise if
you pass it another character set, that's what'll go out the wire.
In terms of a SOAP client, this item is very easy to make this change
w/o going variable by variable. On line 247, in the call method, just
before the comment add:
$soap_data = mb_convert_encoding($soap_data, 'UTF-8', 'auto'); // auto,
or other list of encodings depending on what version of PHP you have
This feel smore like a work around to me, and it only works with
mbstring.
Thoughts?
Al
