Hi,
I've noticed that PEAR-SOAP will say it sends UTF-8, but there is actually no character conversions going on. It's just setting the Content-Type and setting it in the XML tag definition, but otherwise if you pass it another character set, that's what'll go out the wire.I remember a discussion about this a year ago or so, where the consensus was that scripts that use PEAR::SOAP should care for the encoding themselves.
