I agree with you here... but want to know the kicker? Gateway owns eMachines. I kid you not. If you wish, I can give you shell on my FBSD box with a pretty decent dev environment on it (PHP 4.2.x (latest), 4.3.x (latest) and 5.0.x (latest) as CLIs, 5.0.x as Apache 1.3 DSO and every now and then I compile a snapshot as CLI too) Has MySQL 4.0.x and PgSQL 7.x too :) - Davey
