Jesus, not again ;-)
A thread with this was handled 6 month ago, and a lot of people agreed
that this was the only possibility to rotate a file when you haven't got
other access to the server.
Some people (like you, I guess) don't need this stuff, but this doesn't
mean that it's general useless.
