Hi all,

Could be done at the shell level in the pear(.sh|.bat) as: PHP_PEAR_PHP_BIN='/usr/bin/php -d memory_limit=???' but it's uneasy as no access to config there. Another way could be in the init of the php script, if this option is set in config: ini_set('memory_limit', $optionValue); $optionValue should be a count of bytes here. A little work around could allow some setting as "12M" Just, a PHP bug creeps around such settings, sometimes leading to segfault :( Anyway, that could solve it for a lot of people. à+ -- bertrand Gugger http://toggg.com/I reached the memory limit of 8 MB before all of the code is even completely loaded into memoryWe should propose to double the default memory limit setting, then. You could do that only on option: a lot of PHP install on intensive sites will never accept to go up 8M by default. I'm sure PHP default will stay the same.
