Some people really wants to follow a strict convention (me for example).
People says that PEAR coding standars are not good, but from time to
time I'm seeing proyects adopting it and marking that as a feature.

hehe. A converter would be nice, sure, but I don't see anyone writing
it. My humble contribution to that is attached: a tab to spaces
converter and strip trailing whitespaces.

That is exactly what I'm proposing: a "recommendations chapter". I have
seen many people asking what is the convention for X thing.
