Well, I got those parts. The one I was commenting on was:
Failed to download pear/PEAR_Frontend_Web within preferred state
alpha", latest release is version 0.4, stability "beta"
Why would it fail to download a beta when the preferred state is
stable? Is it because it's not compatible with PEAR 1.4.0a6? If so,
that's not a very useful error message.
