[PEPr] Comment on NEWS::NEWS

Norbert Mocsnik (http://pear.php.net/user/norbert) has commented on the proposal for NEWS::NEWS. Comment: I do agree that a "news" package is too specific, if we let this package in, others will come up with packages like "articles", "downloads", etc. However, I'd love to see a "content storage" class in PEAR, which has multiple backends (DB, file, email, gmail *joke*, etc). This class could store and retrieve content by an assigned id. It could store a "parent" and if it's possible to extend it with arbitrary fields (user_id, category, timestamp, etc) that'd be awesome. Maybe comments could be refactored so that they don't need an additional class but fit in into this storage structure (e.g. categories: news, news_comments, articles, article_comments etc.). I wouldn't say this proposal has no sense, it just has to be more abstract, in my opinion. Thanks for coming up with it!
