I agree - and perhaps Dan/we might consider not worrying about the warning phpDocumentor emits, since the 1 package per file rule always holds up in PEAR. GregSo, there is the reasoning - it is similar to the reason that we use var $blah; inside class definitions for uninitialized variables - so the parser doesn't make assumptions and emit warnings.That's unfortunate, but understandable. I think it may lead to confusion during license switches, as it's more likely that a @license tag will be missed.
