Since June 1st, a lot of organizations have been added to the list. But it is essential for PEAR to go on that list ASAP, for better exposure and a chance to actually have student helping on developing packages. On Wed, 2005-06-01 at 19:51 +0200, Martin Jansen wrote:http://code.google.com/mentfaq.html I'm just slow, 1st june was the last day unless they have changed something which I'm unaware of.On Wed Jun 01, 2005 at 06:2531PM +0200, Sebastian Bergmann wrote:Helgi Þormar wrote:Why not. Reading through http://code.google.com/mentfaq.html gives the impression that there are zero requirements for the form of the mentoring organziation; thus it looks like even PEAR is applicable. But then again it is most likely required that the organization is some sort of non-profit, so that Google's donations are tax-deductible. If you'd like to figure this out for us, that'd be great. :-)I'm CC'ing pear-dev about this, a better place for this discussion.I would volunteer to mentor students that want to work on PHPUnit2 related projects. I have a couple of project ideas that I will post if PEAR decides to go forward with this.
Can we use: http://wiki.pear.php.net/ to put a list of ideas/mentors.I'll probably also be ready to be the "connection" between google and PEAR unless a group member should handle that or someone else is willing to step up. Now we need to act rather quickly on this! :) Any questions or statements ? Anyone wants to provide a wiki or something to hold around this ?
