- auto arrange select lists (if requires)
The auto-sort seems to happen only when adding or removing items, instead of when the form moes back after clicking on one of the sort buttons (note that it is a bit contradictory with your note on "POST" order.) I would also think that feature should be enabled by the form programmer only and not by the end user, so to not clutter the space and avoid round-trips to the server... Otherwise, a set of check of radio buttons or checkboxes **may** be a better choice for the sort order instead of the 3 buttons. Something like "Asc", "Desc" checkboxes and a "Sort" button. It seems clearer to me, especially that "No auto arrange" button. However, this may not simplify the overall usability of the element. Hence, that sort feature should.
There are misunderstood here . The buttons *auto arrange* , *no arrange* are only for the pupose demo and are not included into the advmultiselect solution. I put it only to have a switch rather than 3 differents scripts (live demo) if you read the source code you will see that the sort option is given on the class constructor , so its a programmer issue and not user-end.
Ok, good then, we think alike :-)
What is the "reset" button supposed to be doing?
nothing special except as standard form reset button behaviour
Ok, I got confused then. I thought it would move the elements back into their original <select> list. This might be a problem though, with forms that actually have a "reset" button since the lists won't be reset. -Philippe
