HI all,
I've got some performance issues some of you might recognize. I've build
a number of classes (I will make a pear package and propose it when it
is all finished) which are loaded on each page. Including all these
files takes up quite some time, about 250ms, without executing any code,
accept declaring classes of course. When a page normally loads in 250ms
and now become 500ms, it feels sluggy instead of fast.
I can imagine a project build with a lot of pear packages should run
into the same issues. I was thinking about perhaps using ACP or some
other cacher. But does anyone have some other ideas.
PS. My classes would make the following packages:
- QuickBuild - Build applications fast. A
bit like HTML_QuickForm, though a lot more versatile and a lot easier to
use and extend. The renderer specifies the content, so you can output to
anything you like.
- Validator - Validation as
strategy pattern. A bit like this
http://www.phppatterns.com/index.php/article/articleview/13/1/1/
(used
by QuickBuild)
- Factory - General factory
classes. Register classes and object and create them alike using a name.
Also an abstract factory, which is a derived class from the abstract
factory pattern, only more suited for PHP
- DB_Result_Object - Specify more
information for a database field. Allowing to convert a query strait to
a QuickBuild object (and from there to a form, table, etc)
- DB_QueryEditor - A bit DB_QueryTool,
only start with a query (not build jet, might DB_ QueryTool though since
that is not PHP 5, is might also not)
- XMLMenu - Create a menu in
XML and using an XSLT sheet to parse it to HTML. Add this html to other
content using the output buffer
- XMLMenu_Authorization - Authorization based on
the xml menu
- Auth_Secure - A somewhat better
authentication. (not as class jet, might extend Auth)
Is anyone interested in these packages at all? If you all think it is
stupid, please let me know, because then I won't go through the trouble
to make proposals
Best regards,
Arnold Daniels
