PEAR works under the assumption of cooperation between developers. Under the given circumstances, see if you guys can figure out a solution. Otherwise I would say try to atleast coordinate your calls for votes, so that it will not come down to a "who calls for vote first". So either way talk to eachother so that the other developer can in the end make an educated decision on the technical approaches. Finally on the topic of approaches, there is the possibility that you two are simply taking two fundamentally different approaches to solve the "AJAX challenge". In that case there is nothing stopping you two from getting both packages in, aside from getting the sufficient numbers of votes. regards, Lukas
