I didnt follow the entire discussion (I am more scanning this thread to prevent good code from a good developers from getting lost from PEAR), but I think the mail you just send is exactly the type of discussion that will help pear-dev make a proper decision. Maybe in the end you can split some aspects (say the javascript generation side of things) so that you guys end up with one 1 core and 2 subpackages. Maybe we do need to packages (one for quick, one for big) etc. Josh has quite a name in the community and he is especially known for his Ajax stuff in the past months. This may seem like an uphill battle, but all you have todo is make it clear where your proposal is different what advantages and disadvantages your solution therefore has and I think you should have a decent shot at getting your package in if it has merit. regards, Lukas
