I wouldn't create a new proposal for something that already exists in PEAR::

If M3 is supported it will grow. If not, then M3 will continue to use Java
and .NET - you recommended that I switch to full OO language in your
response. You are basically saying I should switch to Java. It isn't
surpising that PHP isn't taken seriously in the enterprise based on this
sort of attitude.
You need to support M3 more, not less, and not discount it because you think
it isn't a lot of people. That is short sighted.
Besides you could add support for session abstraction without making it
mandatory - use it if you need it but otherwise don't.
But that would require a desire to address the issue rather than dismiss it..
