Hi,

I actually did reply earlier, but had hitOK, didn't know / remember about that. Since it did crawl its way into PEAR it can definitely be used. The package is in the sorry state right now with no commits for 15 months and bugs dating back to early 2004, though.replyinstead ofreply to allby accident. Here's what I wrote earlier -> I wouldn't create a new proposal for something that already exists in PEAR:: http://pear.php.net/package/HTTP_Session
If M3 is supported it will grow. If not, then M3 will continue to use Java and .NET - you recommended that I switch to full OO language in your response. You are basically saying I should switch to Java. It isn't surpising that PHP isn't taken seriously in the enterprise based on this sort of attitude.Yes, I'm responsible not only for PHP's failures in the enterprise, but for global warming as well.
You need to support M3 more, not less, and not discount it because you think it isn't a lot of people. That is short sighted. Besides you could add support for session abstraction without making it mandatory - use it if you need it but otherwise don't. But that would require a desire to address the issue rather than dismiss it.Well, I thought a bit about your proposal and I think you are right: it is possible to support the HTTP_Session-compatible custom session handler with minimal changes to H_QF_Controller (only the container() method will be changed and another parameter added to constructor) and no problems for users not wishing to use that. Please open a feature request in PEAR's bug system, so that it doesn't get lost / forgotten.
