Question about PEAR 1.4.5 and PEAR_RemoteInstaller 0.2.0

I've tried to follow explains given on pear documentation [1] to
install a new pear copy on my remote server without results
is anybody tried it and run it fine , especially with Windows ?
i'll continue to investigate tomorrow, to know what's wrong, but i've already a doubt on doc contents
is it really ".pearrc" name for the remote config file ?
