Here's what I propose (2 possible solutions).
1. We could write a bayes algorithm[1] class that would check the trackback and refuse them if they seem too suspicious, which could make some certain trackback refused but most would, I believe, be correctly filtered.
2. check if stristr pear and the package name. Sounds a bit hardcore but that would stop, I'd stay what.. 50-60% of the attacks.
Thanks,

Hi, I'm receiving a lot of SPAM Trackbacks similar to this one: ================================================ Dear maintainer, A new trackback has been discovered for the package translation2:Weblog: Custom Cigar Humidor Title: Custom Cigar Humidor URL: http://www.the-******-humidor.com Date: 2006-01-26 17:25 UTCExcerpt: Custom Cigar Humidor ================================================ Usually these entries have the same value for the "Weblog", "Title" and "Excerpt" fields. Am i supposed to delete them and wait for the next one, or can I report them to someone? Is there a blocklist we can control (adding new entries) via CVS or something? TIA Best regards,
