Ive been using MDB2 for ages but only once it became a little more mature with more docs, at the beginning wasnt so cool. So either use MDB2 instead, or drivers to accept DB, MDB2 and even PDO. But this would be a most useful package in terms of connecting to a replicated system, i assume there are processes to do this already ?

Comment: Does MDB2 support the PEAR DB API? This package is a direct result of a need at my own company that uses PEAR's DB. If MDB2 is BC with PEAR DB then I can investigate that. No, it's not API compatible, it's a completely different package and code-base. It does all of the same things, however, just in slightly different ways. It also has more features, is faster, and has been revised and deloped much further than DB. MDB2 is now the suggested DB abstraction layer to use in PEAR.I've looked over the bugs in DB and they all appear to be PGSQL related (and appear to have simple fixes for them).-- Justin Patrin -- PEAR Development Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
