So what's my first task? Update the package.xml as it is the source for upgrades by package release.

Put yourself as lead. Then, See bug reports, propose / commit solutions. That's tiny work as Benchmark is very stable, at least since Sebastian hang it over to me last year. Also, Matthias Englert who is a co-author of the thing gently told me he is still keeping an eye on it and could help us ,if needed, in the extend of his left time as he's quite busy. I had planned to extend the package to benchmark all possible resources consumed and not only elapsed time, but I finally deleted this proposal as it did not seem to interest people. Anyway, I still believe it could be value. As you are some Gtk guy, some GUI would certainly be nice too ... Regards -- toggg
