With the new Query2XML that just got accepted, and by using XML_RPC or
Services_Webservice package to create the web service (server), putting
together a web service frontend to a database (using an MDB2 object for
instance) shouldn't be that hard. A driver for such webservice could be
added to MDB2.
That won't be blazzing fast, but should be very reusable...
There are certainly a lot of different approaches to the topic though,
so it is often best to stick with (defacto) standards.
