pecl install hits memory limit

Hey Folks: I just ran "pecl install json" on one of my machines and got the following errors: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 144 bytes) in /usr/local/lib/php/PEAR/Registry.php on line 1012 Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in /usr/local/lib/php/PEAR.php on line 766 Fun. :) First, the installer should override memory limits. Second, the installer is ignoring my php.ini file, which sets the limit to 80 megs. Has this been addressed in one of the recent commits Pierre made? If not, any chance of something happening to resolve this issue?
