Hi,
On 7/4/06, Mark Wiesemann <wiesemann@php.net> wrote:
AFAIR the Validate people approve new language subpackages and there is no need to go through the PEPr proposal and vote process. I assume that for Structures_DataGrid this should be also true, right?Yes, it is also true. We choosed this model for Validate because it is easier to keep all subpackages consistent and compatible.
(I don't mention MDB2 here as new drivers are not that likely as with Validate or SDG there.)It is pretty much the same.
How about CVS karma? It is only a normal account request like any other. The new developers will request a PEAR account and a CVS account, like any other account. Please tell them to put some valid credentials in the request and/or mail pear-group to confirm a (upcoming) request.
Or the package registration?Just like you did for all SDG subpackages. Keep us informed and we will approve them quickly.
Should we (Olivier and me) approve something somewhere or should we just step up, if somebody registers an unapproved subpackage? As long as it is a SDG subpackage, you are responsible to tell us to accept it. We will not take decisions for you, like approving a SDG subpackage without having the OK from one of you (leads). Cheers, --Pierre
