Stefan Neufeind (http://pear.php.net/user/neufeind) has commented on the proposal for
RFC::EvalForbiddance.
Comment:
I think that peer review has worked fine for PEAR in the past, and is of
great help. Not only does it cover accepting of new package, but also
commits to new ones.
Since this RFC specifically mentions eval(): I agree that it can usually
easily be replaced and maybe should be avoided. But I believe that can be
done by peer reviews and suggestions without inventing another too strict
and maybe specific rule for that.
