Oops, trust me to open my stupid mouth.
To get code into PEAR, it has to run a gauntlet of picky, fussy developers
who will be against a package going into pear for very minor deviations from coding style. To clarify; that's what it felt like the first time I put up a package. It got nitpicked. I know the nitpicking is to maintain quality in pear, but as a newcomer it felt like a huge "go away; we don't care what you've made" I'd much prefer to go through a nitpicking / etc when i'm trying to pass something off as stable.
