Hi --
I've been wrestling with trying to get my completed code into the correct
format for proposal submission to the group. I don't want to waste
people's time with an incomplete proposal, but I can't seem in the manual
or anywhere a step-by-step process to get your code into the proper PEAR
package, including how to build your package.xml (or package2.xml) using
either an editor or a PEAR app specifically built for it.
I tried downloading a recent package and evaluating how it was done, but
reverse engineering a package I'm not even sure meets the PEAR expectation
is probably a bad idea.
From the Manual, which I have read:
* I've found a name, Numbers_CountryDialingCode
* Category: Numbers
* Package description: Convert international dialing codes to country
codes and vice versa.
* License: Artistic License (same as Perl)
* Examples and Docs: Need some help here; I can write good docs, and
have docbook experience, but having a step-by-step process to test
the docs would be nice, since I'm not THAT good and docbook. The
code is phpDocumentor documented.
* No dependencies.
I'm looking for the newbie guide for building a PEAR package. The docs are
there but all over the place, and there is no simple step-by-step process
for a newbie to go through. I was hoping that writing the code/library
would be the hard part, but making it PEARified has been the stumbling
block.
Help?
I'd be happy to write it up once I go through it, and add it to the manual.
