Please don't, until you can prove that it is _obvious_ to an end user how to
install PEAR classes, all of the installers are well documented, and work well.
Log having moved is already a problem for me; if DB is moved, unless the
installer situation improves dramatically, I will simply have to fork all of
the PEAR classes that I want/need to use and distribute them with Horde.
Otherwise I'll start losing users because the installation barrier is just too
high.
Browsing pear.php.net, there is pretty much _NO_ information for end users of
PEAR; just developers. You can find out how to checkout classes from CVS, but
not how to install them in the way that they are intended to be actually used.
