Hi - I beg the everyone's pardon if this isn't the correct list to post this question. In our current setup, we deploy PEAR packages via yum. All modules build fine with "pear rpm package.tgz". I'm having problems with the PEAR::PEAR package however. Build seems to go fine, but after installing, it seems to be using the buildroot path - "/var/tmp/php5-pear-root/usr/share/pear" and not the actual pear directory - "/usr/share/pear" The error message is: [xxxxx@xxxx SPECS]$ pear list Warning: require_once(Console/Getopt.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in System.php on line 27 PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'Console/Getopt.php' (include_path='/var/tmp/php5-pear-root/usr/share/pear') in /var/tmp/php5-pear-root/usr/share/pear/System.php on line 27
That's the directory in your php.ini include_path. It has nothint to do with the PEAR install. Edit your php.ini file and set the include_path to the directory where PEAR is installed.
What's strange is that running "rpm -qpl" on the created rpm shows that the directory path is correct "/usr/share/pear". Searching for "include_path" yeilds this result: [xxxxx@xxxx SPECS]$ grep include_path /usr/share/pear/pearcmd.php if ('/var/tmp/php5-pear-root/usr/share/pear' != '@'.'include_path'.'@') {
    ini_set('include_path', '/var/tmp/vclk-php5-pear-root/usr/share/pear');
I tried manually setting the directory path in pearcmd.php but I still get the same result. The system in question is running RHEL4. Thanks in advanced. -- PEAR Development Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
