I tried to cc this to pear-dev for your collective information but it rejected
it because of the attachment.

Hi Pablo,
I believe the problem for bug #6546 that you've closed for File_Archive is still
there. You need to find a test case where a directory is listed in an order
such that '.' and '..' do not occur first. I believe that the patch supplied
fixed the problem at least for my test cases, but I don't understand this
package enough to say that it will definately fix the bug ;)
I did a cvs checkout of File_Archive and ran a known test on my server:
Doing an ls -lUa should show you the order in which the filesystem stores
the files which is the same order as readdir()
Here's an example:
[dave@mozart contacts]$ ls -lUa
total 20
-rw-rw-r-- 1 dave dave 172 Jan 17 11:48 prospective.csv
drwxrwxr-x 3 dave dave 4096 Jan 16 23:41 ..
drwxr-xr-x 2 dave dave 4096 Jan 17 11:48 .
-rw-r--r-- 1 dave dave 150 Jan 17 11:48 current.csv
-rw-r--r-- 1 dave dave 146 Jan 17 11:48 assessors.csv
Note that '.' and '..' do not come first. I've attached the zip file that was
created from this directory.
The files that are duplicated are the ones before '.' and '..', that is
prospective.csv which is duplicated twice due to both '.' and '..' following
it straight after.
My server is Fedora Core 4, running php 5.2.0, and the trunk of File_Archive
freshly checked out of cvs ;)
Can we reopen this bug or perhaps open another one?
