Actually this year, the person to talk to is Marcus (helly) as he is
the GSoC administrator.
To answer quickly, there is no predefined mentors, and in order to
have your proposal accepted by the PHP group, yes, you have to post it
to ideas.php so that google can give grants to projects. (more
proposal == more grants)
try that "helly [azat] php [dozot] net"

Can any PEAR member become mentor ? Or are they predetermined ? talk to rasmus .. essentially php determines the mentors .. php also rates the proposals .. however google makes the final decision on what proposals to accept. regards, Lukas -- PEAR Development Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.phpPlease mention your mentor in the proposal (best with PEAR account url). The decision process for getting thins accepted is a bit nebulous. Its basically upto Rasmus to assign people that can then rate the proposals. In the end its Google though, that decides what gets in.
