At some point in the distant past :-) we had the "PEAR Weekly News" in several
languages even.
There was some kludgy code for that somewhere on the pearweb CVS IIRC [1], so
you can do something along those lines but better than what we did back then.
At some point I think that even the Zend guys picked that up and kept it going
for some time, reporting the latest releases from PEAR, but that is also
history now (I think).
