Metabase allows a set of types: integer, text, boolean, date, timestamp, time, float, decimal, clob, blob those you specify in the XML. but metabase knows for each RDBMS: -if that type is supported -how it is supported so no matter what DMBS you use, you get back the same thing. that is of central importance and one of the major reasons binarycloud uses metabase. -alex
