Hi,
Not having followed the proposal this might seem a bit silly but you
don't want to join in on PEAR because of naming ? Because people
suggested you name the package DB_Mongo instead of Mongo ?
If that is the only reason you backed down from joining then I would
say that we are prepared to discuss things, it's a trivial matter
IMHO.
If there are other issues behind it that I missed I would be more than
happy to look into them, either here on the development mailing list
or in private if that suits better.
I would rather not that PEAR misses out on a adapter for Mongo for
trivial reasons, Mongo is after all fairly interesting :-)
However if you have made your final decision and you think nothing can
change your mind then I wish you all the best and hopefully you will
look to us again in the future for getting a PHP package into the
wild.
