That's ok :) I am going to reply with a lengthy and nice answer
tomorrow. I must say that I have seen less movement and some lack of
interests in the past few months (Including the lack of group
meetings) but I think the beginning of the year was a pretty decent.
The likes of the PEAR2 standards, PEPr cleaning, worked on clarifying
the current naming standards to make them more adapted to day-to-day
development, setup the new server for pear, and put a few RFC in
place.
I'd have to agree with you that since January I have been a bit
deceived on the Group's activity in general but I also have been
deceived by my general ability to be online and help on #pear irc as
much as I wanted.
So all and all we went forward this year with new developers coming
in, new developers yet to come from other languages, PEAR2 is shaping
up nicely, RFCs have been put in place and issues have been discussed.
So I only wanted to say that I think it's very fair for you to say
that you feel the pear-group didn't do much because for the past few
months it has been the case. Behind the scenes though, many people
(including you :)) have worked really hard in improving the quality of
PEAR on many levels and I think it's starting to pay off as we see
waves of new packages and ideas coming in.
