Hi all,
I'm proud to announce that the Continuous Integration and testing box
for the PEAR is available now.
The plan is to provide PEAR developers a continuous integration
environment to test their packages, including installations of several
PHP versions (5.3.x, 5.2.x, 5.1.x, 5.0.x and 4.4.x). We will run test
installations of pearweb and pear2 on the machine, too - including
fast and easy ways to test against live data by syncing from live
databases.
Up to now, AMP with PHP 5.3 is setup. The next steps are
- setting up multiple PHP installations, along with a standalone PEAR
for each of them
- getting Cruisecontrol with phpundercontrol running on it, and
integrate all PEAR packages with unit tests into it (maybe phpuc
doesn't suit us and we need a different tool - we'll see)
- get the scripts running that once powered pear.cweiske.de until I had
to stop them because I haven't had the resources anymore (doc
coverage etc.)
- ?? your ideas
Currently, only selected developers have access to it. Plans are to
automate everything until no manual intervention is needed anymore :)
Just check in your code, click on "run tests" and you're done. Until we
reach that stage, help is needed. If you want/need access, send me your
public ssh key and I'll get things set up - and perhaps a note why you
need access.
