Ok, so I deleted everything and started from scratch.
What's particulary funky is, is that when I tried this, it asked me to
download/install the PEAR2_Pyrus_Developer package, so I don't know if
that was the case.
I had some phpfarm test installs there, so they could have conflicted,
but I'm not sure how.
Here comes the wishlist. ;-)
Regardless - is there a way to make it more robust in terms of
checking the dependencies before it executes stuff? We advocate that
with regular packages. The installer should not fall short.
Also, what's the general opinion on a package for pyrus to
install/check all it's dependencies and to also add those funky
convenience wrappers in $PATH? ;-)
Also, I noticed that it'll create the .pear directory in $HOME. What
about putting it into $PWD instead, or at least letting people decide
this? It would be nice to have this per project, self-contained, etc..
This would also imply that a local .pear/ directory is always read
first.
Thoughts?
